Shittu signs for Bolton

Upload main image here:
Bolton yesterday completed a deal to bring Danny Shittu to the Reebok Stadium on a three-year contract.

The 27-year-old defender was previously at Championship side Watford, where he made 75 appearances after spells at QPR and Charlton.

Shittu came close to joining Rangers last month, but his move broke down when the parties failed to agree personal terms.

Bolton play their final pre-season friendly against AEK Athens on Friday. Shittu has flown out to Greece to join up with his new team-mates.

He is Gary Megson´s fourth summer signing, after Johan Elmander, Riga Mustapha and Fabrice Muamba.
