We´ve already had more away wins than we had during all of last season. I put that down to belief. It´s one of the main differences between last season and this season. We know that we can play well and when it comes to games we are showing it. All the players believe in each other and we have a great team spirit. Add that to the fact that none of us want to be in the situation we found ourselves in last year and you can see why our fortunes have been looking up. The table definitely looks a lot better now. We are in tenth. It´s a much better position and we just want to build on that now. We´ve climbed the table this year by playing some decent stuff. Bolton have long been labelled a long-ball team and our football is routinely described as ´route one´. I don’t know about that, people´s interpretations are up to them and I don’t care what they say. The only thing I care about is that we win games. Sometimes we need to play long balls and if it works to good effect then we´ll keep doing it. But we can vary it. If we need to pass the ball, get players into goalscoring opportunities then we can do that too. I said that the goals would come for [Johan] Elmander and I was right. He got two against Sunderland and could have had more. I train with him every day and I´ve seen what he´s capable of, so I´m not surprised. There´s so much more to come from him too. He´s a striker with great ability and a good finisher. His confidence is growing with every goal he scores and let´s hope it continues on Saturday at Villa. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
